Open Question: If the US Dollar becomes worthless, what would happen to VGTSX?
ONLY UNDER THE ASSUMPTION OF THE UNLIKELY OCCURANCE OF THE UNITED STATES DOLLAR COLLAPSE. Please do not say that the dollar will not collapse, that is not what the question is asking.

Is VGTSX priced in US Dollars? I’m aware that VGTSX is invested in foreign indexes, but what happens to my holdings if the dollar becomes completely worthless and a new currency comes into place?

I believe that Vanguard is a US run place, and I think that the mutual funds are independent of Vanguard.

Vanguard is based in the US, VGTSX is invested in foreign currencies. If the dollar becomes completely worthless, will I be able to get my money back?

Do people in other countries invest in VGTSX or other Vanguard mutual funds, and would they be able to get their money back?

Is my holdings in VGTSX *COMPLETELY* safe in the event of a total US dollar collapse where it is worthless and not even used anymore?

Also, I am aware that the rest of the world will suffer if the United States goes down, but that is not what I am asking either. Aside from the rest of the world feeling the burn, will it still reflect the other countries the same way as when the dollar existed? And will I be able to get my money back in the same way?

Thank you!
